ADMINISTRATIONNo known Relatives of DeceaseGrant ad colligendum to a Creditor.
THE PRESIDENT. I think that, as I have the affidavit of a responsible person, who is an officer of the Court, that he cannot find anybody connected with the deceased's family, the grant may go, and I, therefore, make an order for a grant ad colligendum, with liberty to the applicant to pay the debts due to the landlord, the bill of sale holder, and the parish, and to pay and discharge the servants.

LORD ESHER, M.R. In this case the bad navigation of the City of Lincoln did not merely damage the Albatross, it had this further effect, it deprived the captain of the latter ship of his best chart and best compass and also of his log line. After he had lost these things, it was very difficult for him to know where he was, but he properly resolved to make for the Thames. He had however to do so not knowing, owing to the above circumstances, exactly the point from which he was setting his course, unable to mark it off

BUTT, J. I cannot make the grant until the five children who are minors have had notice served on them of what may be the result to their interests of removing their mother's name from the probate. It will not do to serve notice on the mother, as she has an adverse interest, but the registrar may appoint some person who will see to their interests and who may be served with notice on their behalf. BUTT, J., thereupon directed the grant of probate to go as prayed, omitting the name of the wife.
